South actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s latest film ‘Shaakuntalam’ is receiving a lukewarm response at the box office. The film directed by Gunasekhar has tanked at the ticket window and following this veteran producer, Chittibabu slammed Samantha. He claimed that Samantha’s career as the heroine is finished and she cannot get back to stardom again. Now, the Oo Antava girl seems to have reacted over the backlash pouring her way. Samantha shared an inspiring quote from Bhagavad Gita.
On Tuesday, she shared a photo of her where she could be seen looking out of her car. She sported denim jacket and a crop top. Meanwhile, Siasat.com quoted the producer as saying “Samantha did Oo Antava item song in Pushpa The Rise after her divorce. She did it for her livelihood. After losing the status of a star heroine, she is doing whatever offers she is getting. Her career as the heroine is finished and she cannot get back to stardom again. She should continue her journey doing the offers she gets.” Chittibabu even alleged that the actress has been playing a sympathy card by making everyone emotional about her health issues.
Talking about ‘Shaakuntalam’ the film, based on Kalidas' popular play titled 'Abhigyan was released on April 14 and couldn't even make about Rs 10 crores in the first weekend. Samantha will next be seen in Raj & DK's web series Citadel alongside Varun Dhawan.
